Maureen Denise McCormick - the youngest of Richard McCormick's sons - was born at Woodland Hills, California in the year 1956. She was raised by her mother, who was a housewife and a father who taught. Michael Dennis Kevin is her three elder siblings. McCormick started singing and performing at a very young age. When she won her first Baby Miss San Fernando Valley contest at the age of 6 year old Pat Domigan called from Jack Wormser Agency to see what she thought about getting involved in the industry of entertainment. McCormick was offered her first significant task in 1964 as she acted in a television commercial for Mattels newest doll Baby Pattaburp. McCormick also starred in a commercial in 1964 for the Mattels Chatty Cathy toy and soon was cast as the main character in The Wind It up and It is Broken, a show at La Jolla Playhouse. The Brady Bunch In 1969 McCormick was picked from among 1500 children who had auditioned to play the eldest of three towheaded daughters on the brand new TV comedy The Brady Bunch starring Florence Henderson as well as Robert Reed as newlyweds with the family of a blended couple. The run of five years for The Brady Bunch was an enormous success. McCormick, in her book Heres the Story Surviving Marcia Brady and Finding My True Voice Published In 2008 McCormick revealed how during the 5th season of the TV show she almost lost the love of her life to her sister Barry Williams. In the moment, she was 16, and he was 19. The woman said it might have been feasible, but we never had the right time to do it.
