
Jazmine Jazmine, who is Philadelphia native was raised and born in the city. Pam, her mother was a former backup singer for Philadelphia International Records. At the age of five, old, her father landed an appointment as the curator at The city's Historic Strawberry Mansion in the Strawberry Mansion section, and her family relocated to the historic landmark. She graduated in 2005 from the Philadelphia High School for the Creative and Performing Arts where she was singing music major. Sullivan started singing as a contralto children's choirand shortly after, she was a part of the adult group. Sullivan experienced only a small amount of secular music. She recalls that she was eleven when someone requested her to sing in a solo at church. But, she wasn't yet ready for. After that, McDonald's held a contest that was open to children living in cities. I was allowed to perform "Accept the Grace of God" on It's Showtime at the Apollo. And the audience was very supportive. She performed alongside Stevie Wonder at his grandson's birthday at the age of thirteen. Sullivan was the first to sign her contract with Jive Records when she was 15. She recorded an entire album. However, the album wasn't released. Sullivan was then dismissed by the label. Missy Elliott was the producer on a couple of tracks from the album she released her debut. The track "Backstabbers" performed by Timbaland and Timbaland, which Elliott wrote, is a one of the highlights of their collaboration.
